Vanga, Vanga, Vanga.../ வாங்க...வாங்க....வாங்க... This website (i.e. bangalorenagarathar.com) of the Nattukottai Nagarathars community residing in Bangalore, Karnataka, India belongs to Karnataka Nagarathar Sangam, established in the year 1981. The Purpose of this website is to spread the goodness of the chettinad tradition, beliefs and its activities by expanding our reach and serveing the society better.
The Karnataka Nagarathar Sangam was started as a non-profit organization by Nagarathars residing in bangalore in 1981 under chairmanship of Sri. AL. Muthiah Chettiar. BangaloreNagarathar.com (http://www.bangalorenagarathar.com) is the first step to establish an online presence by the sangam. We encourage participation from all Nagarathars to do their part in supporting our activities. If you would like to volunteer for the various activities of the sangam, please submit your names to KL.Valliappan. Those who sign up will be contacted to assist in organising events to support our community. Our matrimonial section will allow prospective brides and grooms from the Nagarathar community to register with their details at this website. Click the matrimonial section for details. We welcome fresh graduates to join our yahoo group bangalorenagarathar@yahoogroups.com by sending a blank email to bangalorenagarathar-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. We provide assistance and councelling for getting jobs and also to start own business. Young enterprising group members have created a network of HRD (human resource department) information from different companies to get maximum advantage in a tough, competitive field. Presently we target IT industry and will expand soon to other fields as and when we get volunteers / experts. With the intention of supporting our community at large, the Karnataka Nagarathar Sangam has constructed a building at bangalore for the welfare of the Nagarathars. Considering the growth in younger groups employed in bangalore, We intent to add interactive sessions on youth and health; also a library of useful information.
